Attorney Donlon has focused his entire law practice on plaintiff’s personal injury and insurance coverage litigation. Michael is always available to clients, past and present, to address their questions and concerns.
Mr. Donlon’s practice is focused on severe injuries or death occurring as a result of construction site accidents, toxic exposure, dangerous products, gas line explosions, motor vehicle accidents, hunting accidents, dog bites, and slip and fall accidents. Mr. Donlon also has experience litigating a wide variety of insurance coverage issues arising with collapsed structures, livestock, fire loss, and spilled/leaked petroleum.
Michael has litigated matters before the Supreme Court of the State of New York at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York.
Before becoming a trial attorney, Mr. Donlon worked as a Journeyman Electrician with the IBEW local union 139 in Elmira, New York. Michael’s prior experience working in the construction industry is a substantial advantage to his clients who have been injured on construction sites. Attorney Donlon is experienced in obtaining Million Dollar results for his clients in this unique area of New York State Labor Law Section 240(1) litigation. He is also experienced in obtaining Million Dollar results in other areas of his practice as well.
Attorney Donlon obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from the University at Buffalo Law School. While attending law school Michael worked as the Graduate Assistant to the SUNY Buffalo Director of Human Resources. In addition, Michael worked as a law clerk with the City of Buffalo Legal Department and as a law clerk with a Buffalo based civil litigation law firm. Michael also volunteered his time as the treasurer on the executive board of SUNY Buffalo’s Phi Alpha Delta, Alden Chapter, and as an associate editor for the University at Buffalo Environmental Law Journal.
Mr. Donlon obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from the State University of New York at Binghamton. Michael’s additional academic honors include membership in the Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Alpha Theta, and Tau Sigma national honor societies.
Mr. Donlon grew up in Steuben County in Hornell, New York. When Michael is not advocating for his clients he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, exercising, and making music with friends. Michael also volunteers his time as a member on the Board of Directors for the Corning Children’s Center where he has served as Chairman of the Middle States Re-accreditation Committee.
