“But the salesperson said I didn’t need a license to drive this bike on the street!” I’ve heard that argument a few times from individuals charged with Driving Suspended or No Insurance while they were operating a dirt bike, go cart, or other non-automotive motorized vehicle on a public street. I will continue to consider all arguments made, but it may be useful to review the Arizona law concerning what is considered a motor vehicle and which motor vehicles require insurance and a license to drive on the street.
